Your predictions for the 2013 F1 Championship - Drivers

Post by Ed » Mon Feb 18, 2013 9:07 am

The 2013 F1 season is about to start so let us see who you think will win the Drivers' Title this year.

Can Vettel win a 4th straight title ? Will Alonso finally win it for Ferrari ? Can Button win his 2nd title ? Will Hamilton have a chance with Mercedes or will Raikkonen improve on an already impressive form and win it for Lotus ?

It should be another close season so go ahead and vote then tell us who you voted for and why. You can also add your predicted top 5 drivers in 2013

Voting closes on the Friday of the Australian Grand Prix.

(The list above is sorted according the driver numbers in 2012. If there are any other drivers you want added to the poll let us know)

For reference, here are the top 12 Drivers in 2012 and their points:
1. Sebastian Vettel - 281
2. Fernando Alonso - 278
3. Kimi Raikkonen - 207
4. Lewis Hamilton - 190
5. Jenson Button - 188
6. Mark Webber - 179
7. Felipe Massa - 122
8. Romain Grosjean - 96
9. Nico Rosberg - 93
10. Sergio Perez - 66
11. Nico Hulkenberg - 63

I was tempted to go for Perez, but it's unproven just how he'll cope with a top team.

Opted for Button, though it's very hard to say pre-season. He's got a calm head and being soft on the tyres could help with the new compounds. Most importantly, the McLaren looks tasty.

Sebastian Vettel. I don't see anyone else taking the title from him this year.

:D All right, chaps. It's ridiculous to even talk about the World Driver Championship a week before the first GP, but  I can't resist wondering how ANYONE could pick the following: Massa, Webber, Grosjean, Perez, Hulkenberg -- or any of the back markers and rookies.

That said: you know the best drivers of the current crop are, in alphabetical order: Alonso, Raikkonen, Vettel ...

and Raikkonen is NOT in a competitive car, but this year it looks like Alonso may be and Vettel may be in the same spot Alonso was in last year: dragging his car around the track by sheer will power

Button is a long shot and Lewis and Nico could surprise us all.

my pick? das wunderkind, Seb V.
My Racing Gods: Fangio, Vukovich; Senna & Mears --all racers all the time; graceful winners & generous in defeat, but never giving up!!
