Friday was a busy day with drivers running into the sand traps and bringing out the red flags.
Lance Stroll had a big crash in turn 3. He appeared to lose adhesion in the front and plowed into the barriers on the outside of the banking. He seemed to come out of the car without any injuries. The same can't be said for the car with both right corners hanging on the tethers as it was hauled away.
Isack Hadjar had a mechanical issue with his Racing Bull and he stopped it on track on his first run.
Lewis Hamilton is still struggling with his Ferrari. He lost the rear in both sessions, spinning the car a full 360 degrees before resuming. That has now affected his race strategy with a set of softs and a set of mediums both flat spotted and useless for the remainder of the weekend.

Lance Stroll's mechanics worked into the night to rebuild his Aston Martin with a new chassis as well as suspension components.
He repaid them with a solid performance in the practice session.

What a great qualifying session!
This went down to the wire with none of the top 3 going faster on their second runs after each improved on their early sector times.
Isack Hadjar showed both how good he and the Racing Bull is qualifying in 4th.
Liam Lawson also showed moments of brilliance qualifying his Racing Bull inside the top 10.
The Ferrari duo seem to have found a happy medium with Leclerc and Hamilton in 6th and 7th for the Grand Prix.

Well, what a race!
Oscar Piastri controlled the race from the front, closely followed by Lando Norris for the bulk of the race. Unfortunately for Norris, this Mercedes power unit let go when in sight of the finish. Max Verstappen kept the McLaren duo in sight for the race and finished in 2nd, closely follow by, who has to be the Driver of the Day, Isack Hadjar. The Racing Bulls driver had a superb run, commencing from grid position 4 after a sensational qualifying, to finish on the podium for the first time in his Formula 1 career.
The next best drive would have to go to Ollie Bearman who, after starting the race from pit lane, finished in 6th position. He did benefit from a late double penalty of 15 seconds to fellow rookie Kimi Antonelli but was only promoted up one position following the penalty application.
