DotD went to Alonso this week. I wish the championship was a bit closer. MS must be looking forward to his (second) retirement.

I agree with Alonso getting the nod this time. If he could qualify ahead of or immediately behind Vettel I think he could beat him in the race, but 5th is just too low.
I like Vettel, but not the fact that the season's in danger of becoming a procession.
Hulkenberg and Senna did well too, and I wonder how Hamilton's feeling about going to Mercedes now.

Yes would have been a lot more interesting if Alonso had been on pole or 2nd or even third. I would love to see him win the title again or at least not have it all wound up too soon.

Next year it'd be very surprising if the Mercedes can compete for regular wins. However, the reasoning behind the move seems to be the massive regulation changes in 2014, the biggest since 2009. That year saw Brawn spring from nowhere to absolute dominance of the early races, eventually taking Button to the title.
