Pretty obvious driver of the day for me: Perez. He's a seriously talented driver. Assuming he doesn't end up being Alonso's deputy for five years he could soon be contesting for wins regularly and the title.
The race was very exciting, and the title race is still nicely poised. McLaren have been dominant lately, but Singapore's a very different circuit to the high speed tracks of Spa and Monza. |

Have to agree with Perez for DOD! He seems to have a knack for making the the most of the tyres, which translates to good race performance.
Alonso ended up making the most of a potentially bad situation, while Red Bull seem to be losing it! _________________ I'm in shape

Yeah, the Renault alternator looks ropey when it's hot (as in Valencia too). Not sure where else that might be a factor. India, perhaps.
Whilst high degradation has given exciting racing I can't help but wonder if too much emphasis is now on tyre management rather than driving fast. When Perez was given the freedom to race he was miles faster than everyone. |
