Now that the NA motorsports season has ended for 2007(......finally!), it is time to start the ChampCar silly season thread with projections aas to who is going where in 2008.........

Recently and in the near future, several rising drivers got or will get the opportunity to test w/several ChampCar teams................

--Pacific Coast Motorsports tested Atlantic Championship driver Carl Skerlong at Buttonwillow Raceway in California back in late November
--Rocketsports Racing tested GP competitor Alexandre Negrao at MSR-Houston for two days in late November
--Forsythe/Pettit Racing tested Atlantic Championship competitor Franck Perera at MSR-Houston back in late November
--Minardi Team USA has an upcoming test with GP2 competitor Ernesto Viso and Asia-Pacific F3 champion Dillon Battastini set for early December

Tracy, FPR to continue in 2008......

After several weeks of concern through the ChampCar paddock that the series' enfant terrible, Paul Tracy, might not be back for 2008, those fears were assuaged as officials with Forsythe/Pettit Racing confirmed that the "Thrill from West Hill" will indeed be back for 2008; according to all available sources, the team came to an agreement with Tracy to continue through 2008 w/three, one-year contract options following this season, thus allowing both sides to fulfill the 5-yr contract signed btwn. PT and team owner Gerry Forsythe back in April 2006.


Finally......a little bit of sanity comes to ChampCar! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:
