Top 8 after the 1st Qualifying session: Raikkonen, Massa, Hamilton, Alonso, Kubica, Heidfeld and Coulthard.

Knocked out: Barrichello, Fisichella, Wurz, Sato, Sutil, Yamamoto.

It is surprising to see a Renault this much down the timesheets. Kovalainen just made it in 16th!

After taking a while for the cars to come out, now all the cars are on the track!

Raikkonen at this stage is fastest in S1 and S2

The top 4 are settled: Raikkonen, Massa, Alonso and Hamilton. Raikkonen is actually much faster than the other 3.

Those from 5th onwards will all go out again!

11 drivers on the track fighting for the last 6 places.

This will be just one flying lap for all of them as there is just 1 minute remaining!

3rd qualifying sesson about to get underway and Hamilton is at the front once again.

Just to add to mlittle's earlier comments about the weather, thunderstorms are forecasted for tomorrow particularly during the race with a 99% chance of rain!

And the cars are away!

I think this is the first time both Red Bull cars have made it into the 3rd session and both Renault cars are out of it!
