So Alonso grabs Pole for the British Grand Prix. Raikkonen was second fastest but will drop 10 places on the grid. Button was 3rd fastest.
Montoya 4th ahead of Trulli, BArrichello, Fisichella and Sato

Fernando Alonso starts from pole with Jenson Button alongside him.
Juan Pablo Montoya starts from 3rd with Jarno Trulli alongside him.

Kimi Raikkonen was 2nd fastest in qualifying but starts from 12th due to an engine change.

Air temperature is 28 degrees while track temperature is 45 degrees!

This is the hottest it has been all weekend!

It is expected that many drivers are on 3 stops although a few could be on 2 stops.

Montoya gets a brilliant start and goes from 3rd to the lead! Alonso in second and Button in 3rd!

Barrichello is 4th ahead of Fisichella and Trulli who had a bad start.

Safety car is deployed due to Sato's car!

After 1 lap, Montoya leads Alonso, Button is in 3rd ahead of Barrichello, Fisichella, Trulli, M Schumacher and Raikkonen!
