Dec.14 (GMM) Jenson Button has described staying put and hoping Honda finds a buyer for its formula one team as his "best option" for the 2009 season.
Speaking at the scene of Sunday's Race of Champions event at Wembley Stadium, however, the 28-year-old driver said he was determined not to have to sit a year on the sidelines."I'm happy staying where I am at the moment," said Button, who joined the then Honda-powered BAR team in 2003."This team is still my best option for 2009," he explained. "But I have some other options -- admittedly limited because this has all happened so late in the year."I'd rather not take a year out. It's not good for a racing driver to be out of the sport."Button said he is confident a buyer will be found to keep the Brackley based team running as an active F1 competitor, but admitted to not knowing how long he should wait."That's a difficult question," he admitted. "Who knows what is the right thing to do?"
