May 22 (GMM) Max Mosley made a brief appearance in the Monaco paddock and pitlane on Thursday, but did not stop to talk to the swarm of reporters and photographers.
"I can't speak. I'm too busy," said the FIA president as he emerged from the governing body's paddock office. For the past seven weeks, the 68-year-old Briton has been the subject of a lurid sex scandal that has dominated the world of international motor racing.Local resident Mosley, making his first visit to a grand prix since the scandal broke, met with Ferrari and Renault chiefs on Wednesday, and is scheduled to sit with Williams chief executive Adam Parr on Thursday.Parr, and Ferrari's Stefano Domenicali, will surely be quizzed on their meetings with Mosley in the official FIA press conference later on Thursday.F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone told reporters he also expects to see Mosley this weekend, in the wake of the FIA boss' warning that his removal as president could make it easier for Ecclestone to take full control of the sport."We're not taking over," the 77-year-old insisted."We have a Concorde agreement signed and it's what we've had for 25 years and it's worked very well. We just want to re-sign."
