01 March: Formula 1 Testing - Valencia - Day 3, Mugello - Day 3

Kimi's time was the best time set so far for a V8 powered car.
The fastest time in 2005 (V10 power) was a 1:09.005 by Kimi Raikkonen.

Weather conditions were sunny with air temperature reaching 15 degrees and track temperatures reaching 24 degrees.

McLaren and Williams have concluded their pre-season testing. The remaining 3 teams conclude testing tomorrow.

At Mugello, Ferrari continued their final pre-season test with both Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa. Bad weather restricted the running. Michael Schumacher set the fastest time of the day with a 1:23.564.

For reference, the fastest time set at Mugello in a 2006 spec car was a 1:21.904 set by Michael Schumacher on the 24th of January.
The fastest time in 2005 (V10 power) was a 1:19.675 by Luca Badoer.

Weather conditions were overcast then rainy. Air temperature reached 7 degrees and track temperatures reached 10 degrees.
