Joey Hand races for BMW Reinhold Motorsport in the DTM and is the teammate of the DTM Champion Martin Tomczyk. While his BMW teammate Spengler was able to win the DTM championship, Hand finished 20th and last overall. Parallel to the DTM he stayed with BMW in ALMS, but did not participate in all races. He won the inaugural race and finished 7th in the overall GT standings. He finished 6th in the 24 hour Daytona race. In 2013 he switched internally to the BMW DTM Racing Bart Mampaey team. He finished the season 12th overall. In the ALMS he participated in six races and finished on the podium twice. He additionally participated in two races of the Rolex Sports Car Series. In 2014 Hand stayed at RBM in the DTM. He finished 20th overall that year. Additionally he participated in three races of the GTLM class the newly founded United SportsCar Championship (USCC).
