Anyone else notice this deal going down. Looks like 7 outbid 10 for the v8 rights next year. Is a shame, I don't like having to change the channel on a Sunday afternoon.

Learn to live with it Rah. It is a deal which has significant ramifications for fans of all motorsport in Australia, and beyond.
The signed deal works out at about $1 mill per meeting into V8SA's pocket, which is a significant boost to the teams' revenue sharing.
CH10 has signed a 5 year deal for F1, there is talk that they will be expanding their coverage to include all practice sessions !!!!. They are also said to be expanding their Champcar/Indycar/Nascar coverage.
The $13 Mill per year deal that CH 7 has signed means that they will expand the V8 coverage in a big way, with talk of practice, top 10, and Saturday races being shown live.
:woohoo:

But what will happen when F1 next rolls into town? They both televise different bits?

Expect the V8s to be else where and crowd attendances to bottom out at Albert Park.
The V8 teams are tired of being treated like c rap, with no pits etc.
Then Melbourne will lose the GP to Adelaide in 5 years and the V8s return, with both covered by seven.

If Ch 10 start showing practice and everything that will be freakin' great. Just get yourself a digital recorder with a hard drive and you will be fine.

Not a given.. I think crowds might go down a bit but I would hope that F1 fans would continue to support the race. I would hope that Melbourne keeps the race.

Ahah........this is how WW ALL started.......obviously........now.....you are referring to CH 10 n F1.......My mistake.....I tend to focus on the V8Supercars here......my error.......One thousand pardons, I beg of you
Perhaps I might chew off that annoying corn for you?
In the V8 Threads it is all sweetness, light, and information. Any perceived slights, insults, offence, etc, are simply the result of my verbal clumsiness.
Again, my humble, abject apologies.

I have looked back over the posts, I can see how I made the mistake.
However, there was never an intention to make you seem stupid, imply that you were stupid, or otherwise infer anything to that effect.
Once again, I apologise.
If you were to peruse any of my posts, on any of the threads in V8Supercars, I am sure that you will find there is never a deliberate slight, offensive remark, or intended insult to anyone who posts here. Nothing has, nor will, change.
