My heart, my thoughts, and my prayers go out to the widow and family of Paul Dana who lost his life during practice for today's IRL season opener as well as Paul himself.
This is another reminder that the sport we love can be a blood sport.
With that, Dan Wheldon, who won the race, represents everything great about this sport. He is a worthy champion.

I agree, it is a sad to see a loss of life in any form of sport...RE30B#16 wrote: This is another reminder that the sport we love can be a blood sport.
What sends shivers down my, and all the people I know and see every day, is that the not only the sport we love, but the sport that is my career, can be such a blood sport....goes to show just how fragile human life is.
