MotoGP rider Max Biaggi will test the MF1 Racing car at Silverstone today (Wednesday). Biaggi had a seat fitting yesterday.

Biaggi said:
I am really excited about driving the Midland F1 car. I must thank everyone in the team for giving me this opportunity and I look forward to comparing the thrills of MotoGP and F1
It is speculated that if Biaggi impresses he could drive for Midland as Midland have not confirmed that Tiago Montiero will be driving for them even though Montiero appears on the FIA's official entry list for 2006 under the Midland team.

Under wet conditions, Max Biaggi completed 9 laps at the Silverstone track.

Biaggi said:
It was an amazing experience. The weather made it quite difficult and I had one moment on opposite lock when I put down the power too early, but the overall grip and power of the car was very impressive.
The car is a big toy. It's like a big go kart. I didn't get anywhere near its limit today, but I went fast enough to appreciate what level of performance can be reached.
It appears that this test is indeed a one off as MF1 Racing confirmed that there are no further tests with Biaggi planned!.

I agree, it is rather cheap publicity........but if he had done 10laps, then that would be completely different......
