Note :
With the later date, Hidden Valley (Darwin) will be a tad less humid & a tad more comfortable. Could be well worth considering. I'm thinking "Therapy" needs a run to blow the cobwebs out. Any other starters for a rapid convoy ?

hmmmm, would love to. Will get my swag ready. The last time I was on the that highway, which I am sure we would both love, I was in the back of a campervan with dad going flat stick. He was also swearing at the road trains as they left us rocking in their wake.

Nothing has changed Rah. The Truckies still use campervans as wheel-chocks.
Forget the swag, I stop at 3 country pubs, on the way there and back, and The Council caravan park "BunkHouse" is a 5 min drive from the track.

Yeah but you forget that I am just a city wanker. Even if I don't use it, I would take my swag so I look more "country" with it strapped to the tray.

Still no official word on Shanghai. All sorts of rumours abound, the latest being that it will be paired with Bahrain. If I were Eastern Creek or Winton based it might pay to have a clear weekend for the original Shanghai date

It is official. Winton has been given the round from Shunghai, V8SA is still negotiating for a round in China later in the year.
The teams that test at Winton will be laughing.

It looks like SANDOWN WILL BE MOVED TO SEPT 3.
It appears that Ch 10 has a telecasting clash with some sport which involves a bunch of guys kicking a piece of dead pigskin between sticks on the original date

"Bargs" (jason Bargwanna) copped a $5000 fine (suspended) for coming to grips with Warren Luff in pitlane after Luff's car came to grips with his on track in the reverse grid race. Bargs says it cost him a top 3 spot.
Luff had a 27 second penalty added to his race time, post race.

Jason Richards scored his maiden V8 win at Winton in winning the reverse grid race.
However he said "it leaves you feeling hollow " and "you feel like you have cheated"
He was running well in race 1 til a clash with Steven Richards caused a dnf, giving him a front row start in race two.
You have to admire that man's character.
