Christijan Albers who drove for Minardi this season has been confirmed with the Midland (Jordan) team for 2006.

I have known Christijan since 1999, when he was driving successfully in Formula 3 in Germany, winning six races and starting 10 times from pole. Since then, I have followed his motorsport career with keen interest. He is very competitive, professional and a proven race winner. I am confident he will acclimatise himself to our team very quickly and help us with the car's development throughout the season

I am really happy to be taking the next step in my F1 career with the Midland team. I appreciate all I have learned with Minardi this season, and look on this move as a step forward. It is by far the most challenging option for the future.

Its good to see him moving up the ladder.....but what i would like to know is, if Narain is the other Midlands driver....What is going to happen to Montiero next season????? he definately deserves a drive in a better team!

The second driver for Midland has yet to be announced and it may not be either of those two.
Midland have offered Sato a drive and there is talk about Davidson or even Montagny.

Sato is very strongly tipped to be in the second Honda team. Consequently most teams are preparing extra tubs, wings etc. and doubling the insurance on their drivers.

I'm not the gambling type, but I'd wager that besides all those things, Julian....that Vegas gamblers' are betting on Sato...no, not where he finishes each race,
but whether he
finishes each race.

Mfer. I would take long odds about him getting to the start line after this season

Indeed, that is the reason Sato hasn't taken the offer from Midland. Aguri Suzuki confirmed talks with Sato were at a 'nice' stage.
Lets hope next year Sato uses his head a bit more regardless which dream he drives for.
