Ricardo Zonta (Toyota test driver) moves into 3rd with a 1:38.651. Pizzonia sets a slow time with a 1:40.978!

There is a lot of activity early in the session as rain is expected all weekend and the drivers want to get some dry running time!

And once again while it is very early in the weekend it looks like another McLaren vs Renault. Sato is looking strong though
