Yep the lights were used for the first time in 1996(even though the system was designed and produced in 1995),so you can have that.Points given.
Now this problem GP.The Portuguese GP was replaced with the Chinese GP which was then cancelled.
You could say that the Portuguese GP being the first one removed from the calendar caused the gap.Or you could say that the Chinese was the one that was actually cancelled to create it.Since it can go either way you can get the points for each
Not that the tweaks make much difference...
