Both Friday practice sessions were run under dry conditions. Rain was expected in the afternoon but didn't eventualize.
There was no major incidents during either session. Karthikeyan stopped on the track during first practice while Kobayashi had a gearbox problem during second practice and lost some time

Lewis Hamilton makes it 2 poles out of 2 so far this season with Jenson Button in second and Michael Schumacher in 3rd
Mark Webber was 4th ahead of Kimi Raikkonen, Sebastian Vettel, Romain Grosjean Nico Rosberg, Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez make the top 10.
No major surprises however Kimi Raikkonen drops five places on the grid due to a gearbox change and Sebastian Vettel set his fastest time on the hard compound and will start the race on those tyres. The rest will start on mediums

Lap 27 and Alonso has been leading this race since just after the restart. Don't think all that many will have Alonso for the win.

Lap 40 and the no rain yet so nearly everyone is changing to slicks.
Perez has taken the lead as Alonso went into the pits for slicks.

6 laps to go and still no sign of rain.... Perez is all over the back of Alonso like a rash. Vet down to 12th after shredding his back tyre.

Easiest vote since Canada 2011.
Perez was fantastic. It's a great shame the pit stop and his mistake prevented him from having a serious crack at Alonso. Despite that, second is spectacular for Sauber.
Amazed and amused to see Alonso now top of the table. However, I think Hamilton, in the long run, benefited most. His two main title rivals failed to score any points at all.

Interesting..... I found it quite difficult to to decide on DotD.
In my opinion it could have gone to a few......Perez, Alonso, Senna and even Mark Webber but in the end I voted for Alonso. He did extremely well (as did Perez) but unlike Perez he didn't make any mistakes.
Great to see Senna in the points and under such conditions. One to keep an eye on.
A very exciting race.

I thought Ferrari were all at sea and with the amount of rain they just about were.... lol.
Great to see Alonso pull one out of the hat.
Not going to do my tips much good though.

can't stop laughing.......
just read that Vettel called Karthikeyan a cucumber!!!
"He was off the track. In my view, it was over," Red Bull driver Vettel, now 17 points behind the championship lead after just two races, said on German RTL television.
"As in real life, there are a few cucumbers on the road," the German frowned.
"It's extremely frustrating, because in a chaotic race where I lost the radio right at the beginning, a fourth place would have been satisfactory."
hmmmm never heard of anyone calling someone a cucumber before.... must be the German sense of humour.

Alonso and Senna both had great races, but for me Perez stood out more.
Webber had a good race, but no more than that. Bit like Hamilton.
