jacfan wrote:Well I finally have some really good news.
When I first went to the doctor they did a biopsy on a lump in my neck and found it was indeed a malignant cancer. They then sent me for a PET scan which showed there was something at the base of the tongue. Given my history the doctors presumed it was cancer and possibly the primary site.
Anyway to cut a long story short... due to me fussing about something they decided to biopsy the area and there is no cancer there.
So now I only have to deal with the one in the neck!!!!
Much better than I first thought as the treatment will be less radical and I now feel more confident that I can beat this stupid thing.
With the support of all you guys how can I lose???
Ahhhh yes that is the result I am aiming for!!!!GhoGho wrote:Following your good news my picks are as follows:

WOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!!!jacfan wrote:I would like to thank you all for your kindness and support during the last 10 months or so. I had a follow up PET scan, which was a complete body scan, last Friday and have just had the results. I am now officially cancer free!!! You just can't believe how happy I am after what has been a very hard and rotten year.
Now I can relax and get on with the rest of my life.
Thank you my friend for being there and listening to my complaints.Julian Mayo wrote:Thank you for allowing me to share your courage, thank you for allowing me to share your fear, and thank you for allowing me to enjoy your victory.
