2009 Formula One Schedule [Revised]

FIA officials have released a provisional 2009 F1 calendar, listed below(thank the news section over at ar1.com for the as-currently listed 'provisional' schedule)....................
Rd. 1(29 March), Australia
Rd. 2(5 April), Malaysia
Rd. 3(19 April), Bahrain
Rd. 4(10 May), Spain
Rd. 5(24 May), Monaco
Rd. 6(7 June), Canada
Rd. 7(21 June), Great Britain
Rd. 8(28 June), France
Rd. 9(12 July), Germany[Nurburgring]
Rd. 10(26 July), Hungary
Rd. 11(9 August), Turkey
Rd. 12(23 August), Europe[Valencia]
Rd. 13(6 Sept.), Italy
Rd. 14(13 Sept.), Belgium
Rd. 15(27 Sept.), Singapore
Rd. 16(11 Oct.), Japan

Points of interest, the French Grand Prix remains, the US GP and the San Marino GP don't make it for 2009.
Abu Dhabi, the newest race becoming a likely title decider!!

The FIA have amended the F1 calendar for 2009 following a meeting by the World Motor Sport Council on the 7th of October.
The F1 schedule has been modified and now features 18 Formula 1 races instead of 19 Formula 1 races with the Canadian Grand Prix being dropped.
The Turkish Grand Prix has been moved into the date previously allocated to the Canadian Grand Prix.
The Belgian Grand Prix has been moved forward a couple of weeks while the Italian Grand Prix has been moved back a week.
The season starts on the 29th of March in Australia and ends on the 15th of November with the inaugural race in Abu Dhabi.
There will be 3 back to back races (Australia - Malaysia, Britain - France and Japan - China).

Hmmm...no North American races at all?
That doesn't bode well for the return of a US GP any time soon.

The first major Formula 1 related victim of the current financial crisis appears to the French Grand Prix.
The FFSA (Federation Francaise du Sport Automobile) announced that the French Grand Prix in Magny Cours has been cancelled due to the current economic conditions.
There is talk of an alternative venue with a race in Paris being pushed by Bernie Ecclestone.

The FIA have once again revised the F1 calendar for 2009 following a meeting by the World Motor Sport Council on the 5th of November.
The F1 schedule has been modified and now features 17 Formula 1 races instead of 18 Formula 1 races with the French Grand Prix being dropped.
The Chinese Grand Prix has been moved to an earlier date between Malaysia and Bahrain. The Bahrain Grand Prix has been pushed forward a week to accomodate for this change.
The Japanese, Brazilian and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix have also been moved to earlier dates to accomodate for the gap as a result of moving the Chinese Grand Prix.
The season starts on the 29th of March in Australia and ends on the 1st of November with the inaugural race in Abu Dhabi.
There will be 4 back to back races (Australia - Malaysia, China - Bahrain, Europe (Valencia) - Belgium and Singapore - Japan).
