The French Grand Prix is on the 22nd of June. Pick submissions close on the 20th of June prior to the start of the 1st Friday practice session at 10:00 local time (08:00 GMT).
Go ahead and submit your picks here then come back and paste your picks on this thread let the rest know why you think this pick is the right one.
Important Notice: Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg will be penalised 10 places on the grid for the French Grand Prix, this means they have no chance of being on the first 3 places on the grid.
Good luck!

Hullo Racing Mates!
I've been out of town; who knows what my score will be on Montreal? The F1 video makes it look like the most entertaining race of the year so far.
Anyway, I don't think France will be all that different from last year; the same amount of red on the podium, only slightly different because I expect Lewis (in spite of his 10 spot penalty) to eat his way to the second step, causing an even greater explosion of Lewis Mania in the British Press.
That said, here's me picks & reasons:
Der Kimster in the Big Red Machine will reclaim his rightful place in the standings!!
Lewis in the Silver 'n Black will like wise make silent his detractors
Little Phil in the Other Big Red Machine will turn in his usually solid performance...
4th: for the first step DOWN from the podium, returning to the REAL world of F1 racing, Robert Kubica, the Polester, will get some more points.
5th: will go to Mr. Nick Heidfeld, still dreaming of one day claiming team glory
6th: probably SHOULDNT go to little Heikki (he IS, after all, driving the second fastest machine in the race!)
7th: (and possibly even higher up the grid) will go to THE BEST DRIVER (except for Mr. Raikkonen) on the circuit, the Spaniard in the Works, Mr. Fernando Alonso (He'll be, unfortunately, driving one of those MISERABLE French racing machines; hopefully it will not cross the line dragging something behind it)
[Sorry Jay Vee; it's no fun to watch someone carrying the car when he could be contesting for the championship; that's for sure! ]
and the 8th, & final point, will go to MARK WEBBER in the Red Bull Racing Machine (D.C. eat your heart out!)
The Pole will, of course, go to Kimi (much to little Phil's dismay)
I am enjoying this season even MORE than the last; could it be that F1 is actually getting BETTER?? What a concept!

The picks you have entered are:
Winner: Kimi Raikkonen - Ferrari will leapfrog him ahead of PM during the pitstops
Second: Felipe Massa - will again outqualify Kimi, but be demoted to second.
Third: Lewis Hamilton - Hey, its only 20 odd car lengths, no big deal.
Fourth: Robert Kubica - one of the best out there in an ever improving car!
Fifth: Heikki Kovalainen - will again show his extraordinary luck
Sixth: Nick Heidfeld - outdriven and out paced by his team mate
Seventh: Fernando Alonso - because the driver is starting to realize that to win you have to have a car capable of winning no matter how good you think you are, and the Renault is not up to the challenge
Eighth: Mark Webber - has to show DC how to do it this time round
Pole: Felipe Massa - because he just keeps getting better.

I think Lewis is one of those drivers, like Michael Schumacher, who MAKES his luck. He'll have less trouble than you think -- and it will be great fun, if the BLOODY FRENCH TV people will show it, seeing him get round DC and Fernando! For the rest, no problemo, I think
Cheers!

For those who have Lewis coming 2nd, don't forget he has a 10 place grid penalty, that is a massive drive to get past 2 BMW's, 1 Ferrari after starting from 13th. I can't see Alonso, Webber, Trulli, Rosberg letting him by easily & then he has to get past Heidfeld , Kubica & Raikkonen......I DON'T THINK SO....

No, for the purposes of the competition, the top 3 are those who start in those positions on the grid on race day. It is just like a 10 place penalty for an unscheduled engine change.mabs_nsx wrote:I forgot all about Hamilton's penalty and picked him 4 pole. Dose it still count if he gets it b4 he drops down???
We posted a notice regarding this matter at the top of this thread.

Seventh : Sebastian Vettel -- He looks strong in combination with the new car
