Lorenzo out of Cataluyna GP...........

Post by mlittle » Sun Jun 08, 2008 9:02 am

updating from Friday.............according to officials within the MotoGP Clinica Mobile, Fiat Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo, who crashed during the second practice session on Friday, injuring his right hand and suffering a brief LOC(loss of consciousness), which prompted medical personnel assigned to the Clinica Mobile to take Lorenzo to a nearby Barcelona hospital for an full exam and battery of tests. Results of the exam showed he had suffered an injury to his right hand and a mild concussion, according to Dr. Xavier Mir of Barcelona's University Institut Dexeus. Fortunately, according to Dr. Mir, there were no signs of head trauma other than the brief LOC Lorenzo suffered at the track. As a result, Lorenzo will stay under hospital observation for 48-72, meaning he will miss Sunday's MotoGP race.
