According to the above article, long-time American Honda rider Miguel Duhamel has been tapped as a "wild-card" entry for Gresini Honda at the upcoming Red Bull United States Grand Prix MotoGP event at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, replacing injured Gresini Honda rider Toni Elias.

IMO, it should be a good opportunity for Duhamel; he has more AMA wins in his career than any other AMA competitor and currently competes for American Honda alongside Jake Zemke(the pair are currently 3rd and 4th in AMA Superbike, behind Yoshimura Suzuki riders Ben Spies[who IMO oughta' get a test in either MotoGP OR World Superbike] and Mat Mladin who are 1st and 2nd respectively).
