PT suffered a compression fracture of the first lumbar vertebrae after his crash in the first Saturday practice; the irony of it is that it wasn't the actual crash, when Tracy hit the wall that caused his injury......it was when the car bounced up and slammed back down which apparently caused the injury. Word is that PT'll be out at least 2 months(likely 8-10 wks), so I wouldn't expect him back until probably Portland.RE30B#16 wrote:Yay! I picked SeaBass to win Long Beach again. Any word on Paul Tracy's condition?
There was a serious accident in turn one during the Trans Am race that ended it.

I wouldn't be too sure; chances are he'll be back for Portland, and since there's a 6-week gap in the schedule(.... ..........), PT only'll miss the race in Houston, so he might still be a factor for the title.
