I think a lot of people stopped watching, jacfan, that day.....

I mean, Moore had everything going for him at the end of the 1999 season; he was set to have his best career finish in the CART standings(I believe he was 7th.....) and he had just announced his intent to drive for Marlboro-Team Penske in 2000, getting one of the best seats in AOWR that a driver could have(other than driving for Newman-Haas or Target/Ganassi....).......the day Moore died was a sad, sad day, jacfan, in NA motorsports.

For most of 2003, the major story in the IRL was the sometimes pathetic state of the Chevrolet Indy V8 engine vs. Honda and Toyota......however, when Cosworth(of all engine bldrs.....

) built and gave Chevy their Gen. IV normally-aspirated Indy V8 engine......LOOK OUT! Case in point, highlights from the last few laps of the Firestone Indy 400 at Michigan back in 2003.
