Understandable Craig, I have been attended drive days at Oran Park for the launch of each holden ute model since the VU. I'm still driving the VS, which admittedly is modified to my preference and fits me like a comfortable old pair of runners, but I have come away after a full day of flogging the new models, a tad disappointed
A good friend has your model and I gave it a good work out and came away impressed The only fault I could find was the shallow tray, which doesn't suit my needs. How is it on the dirt? I have driven some awesome dirt roads in both Nth Isle and South Isle, bulk fun
What tyres are you running?

Its stock as it came from the shop, so no tyre changes.julian mayo wrote:Understandable Craig, I have been attended drive days at Oran Park for the launch of each holden ute model since the VU. I use it as the shop hack here, and to cart hay and bits and pieces for the 10 acres we own. used to use it to tow harrows to clean up the horse s#$%, but it kept getting into a mess, so I use an old Jappa for that now.
And I hasten to add, the missus's turbo seems just as quick, if not a wee bit quicker.

Yeah the turbo is a bit quicker to 100kmh, then its no contest as the V8 gets going. The reason I asked about tyres is that my mate switched from the factory crap to Falken and it transformed the handling!! It ud be a bit thirsty for harrow towing! Or do you just like slow circle work What part of NZ is the ten acres? 10 acres n horses makes me think of Pukekohe ?

Perhaps the first line yes (certainly not the second )
People here don't even know what a nimbus is let alone drive one.
Perhaps I should take up that V8 offer and if the gearbox goes again, well tough but at least I can beat some Utes at the lights

I would just love to shock a few of those who give me that look at the lights. I guess it's hard as the kids can't see me driving like that and with the school holidays just started, I won't have time for anythingjulian mayo wrote:You wouldn't street race WOULDyou

Thanks twicejulian mayo wrote:YOU DOUBT MY ABILITY IF IT DOESN,T WORK, YOU GET TO KEEP MY KIDS
Certainly don't doubt your ability but I must also think of worst case scenarios. Look at Ferrari's gearbox for example
Plus you've made the worst case scenario even worser
