Please Ed hear us out we're starved of emotion here.

I wanted to express anxiety

and found myself holding a torch. I wanted to laugh but it always looks like I'm crying

Oh perhaps those weren't good examples laughter is always tinged with sadness, however we could do with some more sporty characters.
Begging your forgiveness for this interuption
your humble servant Snowy.

Ok we are happy to offer more emoticons however the following conditions have to be met:
- Copyright free
- Size in bytes not to exceed 8 Kbytes at most (we are increasing this from our current limit of 6 Kbytes)
- Dimensions not to exceed 70 x 70 pixels
The first condition is obvious!
The second concerns the loading of pages. If we offer large emoticons (and there are some large ones) it could affect the loading of pages and while emoticons add a lot to the post, it is the text that is far more important.
The third is a cosmetic issue as well as a size issue.
So if you have some emoticons that satisfy the above send me a PM. We'll also add some that we have collected as well.

Its a great site for emoticons....granted it's all in Russian, But basically you choose a category, click on the smiley you want to choose, and use the link that turns up in the box (the second one).

Thanks everyone,
Just a point on linking images (emoticons or otherwise) from other sites.
Even if linking from another site is permitted, we don't recommend that option as if that other site shutsdown, becomes unavailable or re-arranges the location of those images, then the images linked from that site will not appear in the post. Instead we will see that box with a red x instead.
If you have an image that you would really like to link here then please make sure it is hosted at a location that won't be removed or just send it to us and we will host it here. (Of course assuming no copyright infringment that is

)
Back to the emoticons, we are in the process of compiling some more emoticons and we will have them in the expanded window in the next week or so. Thanks to those who already submitted some emoticons and if you have any to add please let us know in the next few days.
Thanks
