I'd prefer a more compact season. there is a too big a gap between races. :?

It's going to be sad to say goodbye to Pukekohe. :(

Yup, I have fond memories of Puke, including flogging an old Hillman around it  One of the saner memories is a few laps in a ferrari 250lm

With regard to a more compact season, grab a map of Australia, (& Bahrain)
draw arrows, or stick pins in, factor in the time it takes for transporters to get there and back, allowing they have to be at the track on the thursdays at least, and leave on the Mondays, or Tuesday, after the Monday race at Eastern Creek (& remember that some teams are based in Victoria, others in Qld) then allow time between events for mechanical and body repairs, testing and development, promotional events, driver testing for the 2nd drivers in the Enduros etc, and the season makes sense.

ADDITIONS TO CALENDAR

PLEASE NOTE THAT ADDITIONS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE CALENDAR LISTING AT THE TOP OF THE THREAD.
The 2pm finishes are designed to allow Ch 7 to meet its football telecast commitments.
The Sandown date is provisional, depending on the AFL calendar..
Channel 7 is yet to formally sign off on the dates for the Pukekohe and Queensland dates.

I admit I have concerns about CH7 having the rights, based on their last performance. What cheers me, is that Ch's 7 n 9 are locked in a battle for supremacy, and I don't think they want to alienate any viewers :?
