Yes it was, and on another post I stated that I will not sit at the keyboard after consuming 2 bottles of red wine ever again . I apologise for any embarrasment.
JayVee this is my last post on this subject.
I simply do not have the time to indulge you by scrutinizing hundred of old posts to dig out "proof".
Whenever I quote a journalist, it is one such as Joe Saward or M Dodson Or other reputable MOTORSPORT Journalists.
Whenever I make a statement about a drivers performance, or that of a car it is based on my knowledge, experience, observations etc. and I always confirm my opinion, before posting, by checking my beliefs on such sites as F1RAcing, Grandprix.,UpdateF1etc. I do not post what "someone said in the pub". This is called having an informed opinion.
I really resent those posts being seperated into paragraphs, or sentences, with those then being taken out of context and ill-formed replies being made. I also take exception to being told to be quiet.
The reason I say that this is my last post on this subject, is that I would prefer to see quality threads and posts in this forum. I have been one of the biggest transgressors in the past.
I will surely make glib comments in the future, however I will no longer indulge myself by responding to argumentative, distorting, posts. Nor will I create them.
I for one, am sick of posts denigrating Schumaker. Most F1 fans agree that he is perhaps not the most ethical driver in the world. I personally have a very low opinion of him as a man.
Equally I am in awe of his driving ability.
Similarly, I am over people eulogising other drivers to a ridiculous level, which simply raises peoples ire.
You have a vast knowledge of F1, and I would prefer to see that displayed, to enhance the forums.
I shall be endevouring to do the same with what expertise and knowledge I do possess.

As you resent posts being separated I won't separate my reply but it is done not to take things out of context but to reply to individual points in a post. It is a common practice and it isn't done (at least I don't) to make ill-informed replies.

Good to see you apologising, I think it is way overdue but it is a good sign nonetheless.

However (and so that you don't fall into the same trap again), if you cannot prove something "by scrutinizing hundreds of my posts" don't claim it as "fact"

If you have suddenly gotten sick of posts denigrating that driver, his brother or that pommy driver for whatever reason that is a good gesture but please please don't go telling others to do the same. I can make my own decisions on what, when and how to post.

And one more comment that I feel I must say, the comments made about Webber by yourself are a perfect example of raising people's ire. That fact of yours about the points between Heidfeld and Webber last year is a perfect example.

Have a good day and I look forward to reading posts from the new Julian

Just read in the Australian Newspaper that Renault are about to finalise a deal with Red Bull to supply either Red Bull Racing or Torro Rosso with engines next year.

Having spent more years than I care to remember, stopping Sub-Editors from making up stories for the motoring pages of "The Australian" with what little knowledge I had, while comfortably ensconced in the Journalists Club, or the Evening Star Hotel........I tend to read their pages with an arched eyebrow.....(actually, I read everything with an arched eyebrow,.....bloody shrapnel).......but, I digress
Renault are very close to signing a deal with REDBULL to supply engines to REDBULL. What REDBULL do with those engines in terms of the two race teams they own, will have nothing to do with Renault. The last I heard, REDBULL was having two chassis' designed for each team, 1 for a ferrari engine, 1 for a Renault engine. Thhis is making a lot of the other teams a tad twitchy, (Denis for one is about to start bleeding from the eyeballs), because, under the FIA rules each of the REDBULL teams is supposed to be a completely seperate identity, with its own proprietary design etc9 .....sorta like Toyota n Williams.......the fact that those two teams will field identic.....stop it Julian, stick to the point 8) ..........but you never have before....... :bang: :bang: .........(note to self......destroy Alto Ego, post haste"
In short, REDBULL are sailing very close to the wind if the FIA are going to rule by the rules...................
POLL
Will the FIA rule by the rules?
does the FIA know what the rules are?
Does the FIA make it up, as the season progresses?
Is Max a raving Looney, or is that disparaging to Raving Loonies?
