Kanaan continues to reel off fast lap after fast lap(he is on a light fuel load, though)

Kanaan's lead now up to 8.6 seconds over Castroneves

Manning drafts past Sharp for position; Manning now in 6th, Sharp 7th

Kanaan continues to build up his lead, but he will have to pit pretty soon; race control reporting that TK will exit for pitlane on/about lap 60

Right now, Kanaan is the proverbial cat-bird's seat; all five drivers in front of him have to make one more stop, so could we see Kanaan in victory lane even with that first-lap schmozzle w/Patrick and Marco?

Kanaan's engineer talking to IMS Radio; says that as long as they don't lose any more time to the front-5, Kanaan should inherit the lead when those five pit

Kanaan now 19-20 seconds back; I'm almost betting the engineers for Castroneves, Dixon, Franchitti, Patrick and Manning are telling their respective drivers, "PUSH, PUSH, PUSH!!!!"

And here we go, Castroneves pits from the lead.

Patrick now pits for here last stop of the day from P4; Matsuura pits from 8th.

And Castroneves beat Kanaan, getting back out before TK could pass him on-track!!!

Patrick away; 9-second stop, drops to 7th for the moment

Franchitti and Dixon are P1 and P2; Franchitti's engineer radios him, telling him to "give me three good laps, you are P1 at the moment. Give me three good laps!"

Franchitti gambling on fuel; stays out......now 15+ seconds ahead of the Iceman

The question of the race now is, can Franchitti build up enough of a lead to beat Dixon back out once he makes his last stop?

Fisher pits from 16th; Franchitti resets fast lap, a 1:08.015(75)

Franchitti peels off to pit.....the race begins!!!!
Five second stop and Dixon beat him by!! Dixon takes the lead as Franchitti exits in 2nd.

Dixon takes over the lead as he just blew past Franchitti on the pitstraight; obvious dejection in the Canadian Club pits as they watched Dixon fly by on the straight as Franchitti was exiting pitlane.
