So far two big surprises:
1. Rangers sweeping Thrashers... I thought they'd win in the end but definitely no sweep.
2. Flames vs Red Wings: Flames are playing much better than I expect.

Second round in the East will be quite exciting... Sabres will most probably pair up with Rangers. That'll be fun to watch :)

WEST:
I had predicted the Ducks to be a major headache. However they have outdone even themselves!

Now... I think the West will be a 7 game duke-out. Anaheim will beat the Reds by a narrow margin.

EAST:
Ottawa seemed to become a classic case. They look and perform good during the regular season. This year they are better than ever.

The East will be the Senators' in a 6 game round.

Anaheim vs Ottawa could be an entertaining finals matchup. That'll be Ottawa's first ever finals.

It'll be interesting......in the post-lockout era, Ottawa has a good team for a Cup finalist; a great offense centered around a strong core(Alfredsson, Heatley, Spezza), a decent defense centered on Wade Redden and a decent goalie in Ray Emery and good penalty-killers whenever the team's short-handed.

As for whoever they'll play......Anaheim won today's game vs. the Red Wings and have a 3-2 lead; Gm. 6 is in Anaheim on Tuesday.....
