I'll talk to Bernie and see if I can get Suzuka back in the calendar during that 1 month break before the European races begin. Who knows...

I think for next year there will not be a 4 week break as the San Marino Grand Prix is most likely to be held on the 29th of April.

Great news indeed. Still I'd rather have Suzuka instead of Imola... Then again any race inbetween is better than a 4-wk break. I can barely handle a 3-wk break

I think that I have tried to clarify the situation in my previous post. As I said I believe Julian made his edit to clarify that his post wasn't directly related to China or Japan, he may have not specifically stated that he edited a previous post and on that point I agree with you that he perhaps should have indicated that and because of that I did say that moderators should use extreme caution when editing earlier posts.

As for the other comment, well I am sure you are aware that Julian is the V8 Supercar moderator and was doing a great job covering the Bathurst race despite the massive shunt that lead to the death of Mark Porter, the passing away of Jacfan's mother as well as other misfortunes that he has had to deal with recently.
Yes he made a comment on Button and you immediately replied back, then what appears to be a misunderstanding started. You seem to be 100% sure what Julian meant but you shouldn't really conclude that and Julian did specifically state that his comments had nothing to do with China or Japan, and because of those misfortunes, he didn't want to engage in a discussion. End of story I would have thought.
As someone who has had many discussions with Julian, you should know his style by now and you really shouldn't be concluding that Julian plays above the rules. To his credit, he has been moderating the V8 forum for over a year now and never have we felt that he used his status to his own advantage.

JayVee, we value your contribution greatly and I am sure many members enjoy the discussions you get involved in. There will always be differences and that is what makes it fun but lets try not to take things too personal.

Thank you Ed for taking the time to explain your side. Let me say that to your credit, that was the first time I experienced an 'edit' that wasn't made clear so perhaps out of my respect to this place, I reacted in the way I did and I do apologise to you and to Julian for making an accusation of playing above the rules. Apart from this issue I haven't experienced anyone playing above the rules. Actually most (if not all) people here are really nice people!
I also want to apologise for making an issue at these difficult times.

I have one reservation though and that is I still don't understand how someone can be getting over other peoples misfortunes yet be prepared to make such a comment on Button being scared of joining Williams because of Webber. Yes that could be Julians sense of humour but I do seem to have a problem with that.
That could be of my own making and hence I will use 'extreme caution'

when and if I decide to reply to any of Julians posts.

Yup, it was my sick sense of humour, and it was in response to a post from Fig. I have tried to have my sense of humour cauterized, irradiated, and excised but it keeps growing back

Joke aside, as long as we all try to restrain ourselves and think twice before posting a message we'll be okay. Come to think of it if that was the way all people behave the world would be a much nicer place.

I find that if something annoys me that I will write down or say what is basically a "gut reaction" then read it through or think about it and then realise that I don't need to say it. Though sometimes I still say/post something that should not be said. If any of that makes any sense whatsoever. I have just got home from the funeral and it is nearly midnight.
