Just received word that my buddy who was planning on buying a house in Australia did so. You guys had said that he'd need more capital to get a nice place. So he raised some more funds and got a neat place in Queensland. Not a big farm or anything like that, but a rather big house. I believe it's similar to the townhouses in the US. The city is called Cairnes or something like that. Anyway, he is quite happy. He asked me to thank you all for the tips... I guess he'll finish up moving by the end of February.

That would be Cairns, and it sounds like he has bought a "Queenslander", a large house built off the ground for cooling, and keeping your feet dry. 8)

That is great. Glad to have been helpful and now you will have somewhere to stay when you decide to visit. :D :D :D

The dawgs are very sensitive, I suspect they covered their eyes, Deb 8)
