Fifth: Rubens Barrichello - will get better, but not bad for a start
Sixth: Juan Pablo Montoya - doesn't kill porcelaine cars like kimi does
Seventh: Nico Rosberg - will make webber look slow
Eighth: Felipe Massa - won't do worse than rubens did in the red thing
Pole: Jenson Button - really motivated and a fast, reliable car
i may change them again, if i think about it ... there are so many fast cars on michelins that it seems an odd idea the bridgestone runners will get any points, but it's hard to assess what the ferraris will look like when it comes to it. fisi could surprise, if he's motivated and concentrated enough.
oh, i should pick some smilies, too:

Winner: Fernando Alonso - Reigning WC gets the ideal start
Second: Jenson Button - Honda seem to have their act together
Third: Juan Pablo Montoya - One McLaren will get to the finish
Fourth: Giancarlo Fisichella - Renault #2 Still not fast enough
Fifth: Jarno Trulli - Fastest of the rest
Sixth: Michael Schumacher - Will struggle
Seventh: Mark Webber - Another season of woe
Eighth: Rubens Barrichello - May do better
Pole: Fernando Alonso
This season will see Honda become a dominant team. Renault will rely totally on Alonso to score the bulk of their points, Williams just can't get it right with tyre/chassis/engine combinations, McLaren will suffer the traditional early season engine failures, Ferrari need to get over their average car of last season.

CM, are you aware of the chassis/tyre problems Toyota are having ?
The Williams chassis is sweet with the B tyre, but Bridgestone cannot yet produce a front tyre with durability and adhesion.......yet. If they do in the next 5 days MW will podium

Hi Schmor
Very astute picks I hope you are rewarded, all things being equal that is exactly what should happen in Bahrain

Nico!

no sign of Mark

is gonna cause some controversy with V8 crew, they can be very Vociferous

You'll have to learn a few defensive blocks or crafty counter punches if you want to last the season
Good luck and happy posting

Absolutely so cmlean these are prophetic words indeed but Fisci is going to be the incumbant next season and he has been setting good times in testing, just as consistent. It appears the Renault is very easy on its tyres, whilst Mclaren take a while to get up to temperature they actually last even longer with better consistency making them favourites at circuits like Monza, Imola and Bahrain!! where they can make fewer pit stops. Honda still have some issues with tyre wear, somebody noticed that they have been backing off in the middle of 10 lap stints to cool their tyres! There are a lot of variables this season are there not?

I did notice your thread that Toyota are trying to change tyre suppliers so close to the start of the season. You always seem to have your finger on the pulse

Which, if mine flickers feebly, then occasionally races alarmingly.....and it seems to depend on who is posting
