I can't see what the debate is. Barricello has been content to sit sniffing the fumes of Schuie for the last 7 years and now, all of a sudden he going to be reborn as some sort of hungry driving god? I just can't see it. No way. he's got a kid, a wife, a nice boat. He's not hungry and this drive is as much to counter the Brazillian bad press before he retires than anything else.
Barricello has been fast because he is in a car tuned by Schuie. Consciously or unconsciously, he has been carried by Ferrari and Schuie for years, I just don't see the hunger in him.
Button on the other hand has a lot to prove. He has no distractions this time, he has got no contract nonsense and a team ready to push him to that first podium. Barricello coming to the team is just more fuel on the fire of Button's ambition. You cannot deny Button is an excellent driver, it's just where his head has been over the last two seasons where he's been wrong, and I think that this season, he's set to shine. I see Barricello making an early impression, but then dropping back to about 1 or 2 cars behind Button and finding that position more than comfortable.

Well, you can judge wether I'm a commintted F1-CNUT or not, by my shining knowledge of F1 (I still haven't memorised all the drivers yet, but that's part of the early F1 season excitement for me, getting used to the new cars and team members!), heh! I'll change my avatar if they force me, but do they really want me to use my alternative avatar - a smiling Jense?

Ah well, we won't see that smile too often this season.
Belly will be joining the forum just so he can see himself

It's his year this year - no race bans, no disqualification, no contract nonsense, or at least I hope!

Really don't know what you mean there, Mayo! Let's chat after next weekend. I think we'll all have a better idea of the state of things, and of course, you could be eating humble pie.

Barring mishap, I think it will be Alonso all the way, I'm just hoping for a really tight grid and race, with Button showing his worth and DC on his way to securing the Newey car for 2007. Would hate to see another procession (at least it won't be red cars again!). And of course the qually should be damn exciting.
As I'm a horrendous newbie, Mayo, who do you follow / support?

Danica Patrick
I wouldn't mind, but she's totally milking the whole female driver thing, just because she's a bit of a looker. I'm not down on that or anything...but cheesy or what?
