He deserved every $ he earned from BAR. Isn't it enough that he ruined his career. Come to think of it, maybe Michael Schumacher paid BAR that much to take Villeneuve so he won't have any competitionjulian mayo wrote:Yeah, I'd like to be as poor. I think I could attempt to adjust to the Monaco lifestyle with what he and His manager screwed out of his team
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

12 laps, 3 every 15 min
I like the idea of having
1h sessions,
all cars together,
12 laps,
3 laps every 15 min,
minimum gas.
Friday and Saturday,
average of best_time_friday and best_time_staturday to determine the race grid positions.

This single lap qualifying SUCKS! and this new aggregate format SUCKS EVEN MORE
With the wet session we just had, it is almost like pulling a number out of a hat.
What happens to those who don't set times ? and those who are 10 seconds or more off the pole time. If the second qualifying is dry they have no hope of improving.
Now Fisichella will get pole without a fight (nothing against Fisco, I like him actually), Karthikeyan may start ahead of both McLarens and Ferraris. Again nothing against Karthikeyan but isn't qualifying supposed to sort out the cars ? is it even safe to have Jordans and Minardi mixed with McLarens and Ferraris at the start.
Bring back 12 lap qualifiying, adjust it so drivers have to go out early but lets have a level playing field and not absolute luck!

The Montoya/Raikkonen battle is on!

Well I don't like this format either but the weather won't be like this for the next 18 races so lets see how it works under normal conditions.
I think the aggregation of times will cause teams not to bother with second qualifying or at least not push and that is bad.
Michael is more than 24 seconds behind Fisichella and 6 seconds behind Ralf who is right in front of him. He has no chance even getting ahead of Ralf so does he bother going out ? does he get to change his engine ? etc. etc.
Perhaps aggregate the poistion and if two drivers are equal then the fastest aggregate time starts in front. This way if Michael sets 3rd fastest (behind Montoya and Raikkonen ) then his aggregate position would be 18+3 or 21 which will put him 11th or so on the grid.
