1.Jordan in low-fuel never was ferrari-fast....Ed wrote:As I said earlier sgd Montiero may be running on low fuel as the team only have 1 car to practice with today (so far!)sgd wrote:it's not Bridgestone!! it it were the thyres you'd expect Jordan to be as far as usually from ferrari!!! and they are at the same pace!!Kapel wrote:Ferrari looks to be the 7 fastest car on track![]()
Ah, the bridgestone melting already![]()
My point is that for a Jordan be just 2.7off pace (and Minardi 4s) from a light McLaren is very good, so you have to agree that their tyres are performing quite good here. if the tyres were lacking so much grip Jordan inted of being closer to Michelline teams, should be slower (ussully they are ~3.8s off pace) .Ed wrote:sgd, I am not saying it is all down to Bridgestone but it does seem that the tyres are lacking grip.
The Jordan has been close to Minardi over the last few races so I doubt they have found 1.3 seconds all of a sudden!
It is all speculation though and qualifying may give us a better idea!
Sigh, I know that feelingEd wrote:No action yet!
sgd, it is only practice and we cannot assume much from the times. The only thing that seems obvious is that all the Bridgestone runners are off the pace.sgd wrote:My point is that for a Jordan be just 2.7off pace (and Minardi 4s) from a light McLaren is very good, so you have to agree that their tyres are performing quite good here. if the tyres were lacking so much grip Jordan inted of being closer to Michelline teams, should be slower (ussully they are ~3.8s off pace) .Ed wrote:sgd, I am not saying it is all down to Bridgestone but it does seem that the tyres are lacking grip.

I see it clear that the bridgestone are quite competitive here, you'll hve to find and other reason for the lack of pace (or grip or whatever) to Ferrari speed...
by the other hand, those were just practices... let's wait and see what can they do within 2 hours...![]()

Comparing practice times causes headaches but if you go back to past Saturday practice sessions you'll see this:
In Hungary Albers was just 2.7 seconds off the pace
In Germany Albers was just 2.5 seconds off the pace
In Britain Montiero was 2 seconds off the pace
Were Bridgestone competitive at those races ?
