In my estimation the dearth of world class competition in Champ Car has made Bourdais look better than he actually is...
Look at the struggles Franck Montagny has had getting a race seat and Montagny blew Bourdais away when they raced in Formula 3....In the same team.... :?
:good: Will Power made him look a tad ordinary at Surfers. INHO these guys get away with biff n barge tactics in champcars, because of the robust nature of the vehicles, that would see both drivers in F1 cars continuing their duels in adjoining hospital beds. I dont know if SB has the finesse for F1 cars :?
Also :good: Alex Zanardi as well as being undone by a less than competitive Williams reallly suffered in F1 because you couldn't use the circuit creatively one excusion and that was it end of race. If some legislation was in place that suspension has to withstand a certain amount of multidirectional loading and banging in 94 Damon Hill would be a multiple World Champion. F1 cars have been a bit naff ever since Colin Chapman decided he'd rather win a race than have his driver survive a full season. :x

Very True....I'm starting to think that the ChampCar series is now rated somewhere below the GP2 series.....

GP2 seems to be very robust but F3000 appeared just as healthy and that went down hill very quickly. And what of the Japanese F3000 or its replacement there's hardly a murmer from that series these days. I think the feeder series rotate perhaps it's actually the quality of the drivers that makes a series healthy and not the quallity of the management?

Is Noddy allowed to have an opinion? Surely BE will not stand for this sort of behaviour.

I wouldn't weigh them on the same scales but as far as the followers are concerned CC is certainly less popular. Every passing year people flock to GP2 series whereas CC tries to earn a place in the hearts of the Americans only (okay, mostly)...
