Sleeping during the night, instead of dozing against the washing machine full of vomit stained pyjamas at 7am.
Rising at or after sunrise, able to think.
Having the expectation that when you go to sleep, that will be it til you wish to be awake
not having to endure a minimum 25 shouted/screamed "I HATE you/him/her"
before lunch, given that lunch is usually taken at 4pm and consists of anything the kids/dogs have not consumed.
Not contemplating a 4pack of Wild Turkey for breakfast during school holidays.
Not owning two rabid hounds who discover they can clear a ten ft concrete wall and really, really enjoy the trip in the Ranger's vehicle, at $200 each. Twice in one week.......til the method of escape was identified.
Not having to go down the driveway and tell the Ranger to stop parking there all day.
Sigh, there is much, much more, but I feel a pressing need to go and check on the Wild Turkey supply.................

I've only two but the I hate you/him or her is a regular occurrence.
Haven't got a dog but can have one any time a cat wanders into the yard. Kids haven't been sick for a while (touch wood) but getting them to go to bed at a reasonable hour is always difficult.

Sounds like my normal is one you would prefer.

Interesting concept. Normal. Hmmm not sure what normal is except for me.
Normally get to bed somewhere between midnight and 2 am. Arise whenever I feel so inclined. No kids to have to listen to, but do have five burmese cats!!! Home alone most days, with occasional visitors and gym, housework, hobbies and computer games etc. Evenings, after cooking dinner, cuddling on couch watching TV or playing some sort of game eg cards until bed time. :D
Not sure if this is considered normal but hey it works for me.
