Congratulations on for last week  I was rather hoping you were gonna be a bit closer to my figures but you went down another route at the end there. Perhaps you won't get it right this week who knows  Still we're all wandering around the same ball park though. Which seems to suggest that the FIA has singularly failed to slow these cars down!
Snowy, I think we'll find my performance last week was due to early season luck and that this week normal service will be resumed - my predictions certainly seem a little too quick judging by Friday's times.

Actual Qualifying times were:

S1 - 1:34.536 by Juan Pablo Montoya
S2 - 1:33.527 by Jenson Button
S3 - 1:33.840 by Giancarlo Fisichella

For session 1, the closest and winner is .....

Just 0.065 seconds off the actual time. Well done Mark Whitehouse. You've won a choice of NewsOnF1 Smart Digital Clock with Alarm or a NewsOnF1 Stopwatch

For session 2, the closest is .....

0.256 seconds off the actual time. The closest time but not enough for a prize.

For session 3, the closest and winner is .....

Im baseing these assumptions on some very complex formulas.
where x = z where Y is 3 * 98 -2.456 /f - 26%
Formula One im going to call it.. 8)
Just 0.313 seconds off the actual time. The closest time but not enough for a prize. You may want to tweak that Formula a bit more

Mark Whitehouse, please forward your full name and mailing address to me via PM or email and add your comments here on how you managed such a close time

Looks like this round most players were conservative with their predictions. The cars are not that much slower!

And so for the second race in a row we have one or more players who actually predicted times to within 0.1 of a qualifying time. Well done

Thanks guys!

What a pleasant surprise, I'm just back from holidays to find I've won. I knew I'd have to be pretty close.

I'll let you all in on the formula:

Last years time + A small random number = Beginners Luck

Gotta go, I think I've got about 2 minutes to get San Marino times in!

Ha! The futures amazing you guys.

Viduka scores the winner in the World Cup Final, Bush is (finally) impeached on the grounds of criminal stupidity when he orders in the Ghostbusters because there is "something strange in his neighbourhood", and Julian ....... the Dogs win the flag!
