China 2009 F1 racing -> Thanks for sharing your predictio

Post by aromes » Wed Apr 08, 2009 10:59 am

Gentlemen,
Please join me on sharing our predictions for the next F1 race in China.
Please share your picks for next race and reasons beind them

My picks:

#1: Button (again and again..I think it's their year at Brawn GP..I don't
think that Barrichello will be up to the challenge though)
#2: Alonso (I am confident that with a well tuned strategy, his car can be pushed to some very interesting limits)

#3: Kubica (reliable car despite no wins up to now)

... am still working on the remaining choices (I am debating whether Ferrari, despite a slow car, could find a way of coming back).
Please throw in your inputs about what car you think is more suited to China's racing track.

Welcome to NewsOnF1, aromes! :welcome:

After the, uhh.....interesting way the first two rounds went, you almost have to throw darts at a wall to make picks.........

But if I had to make a quick 3-driver set of picks, I'd probably go with Button and Alonso in 1-2; I'd go with Sebby V(a/k/a Vettel) for the third pick. It's almost impossible to make any picks for China, though, at the moment 'cause of the way the first two races went, but no one I bet thought Melbourne and Sepang would go the way they did!

Anyway, like I said, welcome to the forums; feel free to browse all the sections and let your opinions be known! :welcome:

Welcome Aromes and godd to see you sharing your thoughts with other players.

As mlittle said, it is hard to pick who will be on form in China but expect the 3 'diffuser' teams to feature at the front along with one or two of the 'other' teams.

Note: We moved your post to this thread as it is for posting players predictions.

Welcome aromes :D

Even though I will mostly likely put Alonso in the top 2, I don't think the Renault is up to it yet. I think he will be in the top 5 though.

But I can't make up my mind yet. And maybe the difusser teams will be banned then he'll win :D :D

Oh and this forum is not only for blokes

In the news: the double diffuser was declared "legal" by the FIA

Other news: I officially give up putting Raikkonen in second position after a Brawn GP. Brought me no luck so far ;)

Winner: Jenson Button - well, DUH.

Second: Nico Rosberg - Williams :)

Third: Rubens Barrichello

Fourth: Jarno Trulli - go Jarno!

Fifth: Kimi Raikkonen - can't give up completely can I?

Sixth: Sebastian Vettel - still believe it is one of the best

Seventh: Fernando Alonso - no double diffuser in China I expect

Eighth: Kazuki Nakajima

Pole: Jarno Trulli - will it be his first good China race lol

Ok, here are my picks for China ... it is really tricky this season!!

Winner: Jarno Trulli - Toyota catchin Brawn
Second: Rubens Barrichello - He needs to prove himself, make that must!
Third: Fernando Alonso - I am hoping Renault would fit some sort of diffuser on his car
Fourth: Nico Rosberg - He impressed me in Malaysia
Fifth: Sebastian Vettel - He impressed me too!
Sixth: Timo Glock - Toyota is quick
Seventh: Jenson Button - Bound to slip. I still consider Jenson to be an on - off driver
Eighth: Felipe Massa - He hopes for better but that is all he can do
Pole: Jarno Trulli - With his car, it will be hard to beat him

I did jump on the Button bandwagon for the last race & I think that Rubens may do better this time out.
