:D :D Wll, cmlean, I am close, as usual, to your picks. I just feel that Lewis is steaming about how puny his power was back in Brazil and since he is a 6-time WDC I think he is more like Michael Schumacher than Ayrton Senna --a thinker and a cut-throat, not like Max and Ayrton who are simply supernatural drivers, ALWAYS on the edge and so not really winners unless everything goes their way.

The upshot is I believe Lewis will WIN the race, post the fastest lap AND take the Pole ... or, if they wind up his Merc too far, end up like Valteri with a blown engine. Here are the rest of my picks

1. Lewis will win and burn some doughnuts. The car WILL BE numbered "44"
2. LeClerc will be more cautious this time and not pass Seb until very late in the game, maybe in the final five laps, having lulled Seb into relaxing
3. Seb will make the podium and be all smiles, the happy Daddy
4. Max will make a mistake and not have enough time to make up for it
5. Bottas will drive carefully from the back and make it to the top five.
6. Albon will try to keep Bottas behind him but not succeed.
7. Gasly will show that Brazil was no fluke
8. Kvyat will let the field know that HONDA is coming back with a vengeance
10. and so will Sainz.

I predict next year will be the last season for Renault for some time and they'll be near the tail end of the mid-pack. Poor Danny Riddiardo! He just jumped in the wrong direction ... something like Fernando.

Finally, I am thinking of writing to FIAT to ask them if I can be the Scuderia Ferrari Boss on the grounds that I can't possibly be as bad as the last two Team Leaders and I'll be willing to do it for a mere sixty grand. Wish me luck. A year in Maranello will be sweet for this octagenarion!

Dheers! I hope the race is a repeat of Brazil; we've got SIX drivers in fast cars and the all want very much to win
My Racing Gods: Fangio, Vukovich; Senna & Mears --all racers all the time; graceful winners & generous in defeat, but never giving up!!

Always entertaining to read your posts and predicitons Jim :D

I second that proposal Jim, I am sure you'd do a better job at Ferrari :bouncec: :bouncec: :bouncec:

Bottas seems to be strong here but the track is hard to overtake on. It will be very interesting when he catches Max in the Red Bull

My picks:

Winner: Lewis Hamilton
Second: Charles Leclerc
Third: Sebastian Vettel
Fourth: Valtteri Bottas
Fifth: Max Verstappen
Sixth: Alexander Albon
Seventh: Pierre Gasly
Eighth: Sergio Perez
Ninth: Daniel Ricciardo
Tenth: Carlos Sainz
Pole: Lewis Hamilton

Here's to an exciting 2020 season ... I know every year we say next year will be close but I do feel that next year will be  :D
