This is the place to discuss everything related to the 16th round of the 2022 season taking place in Monza between the 9th and 11th of September.

The event timetable for the Italian Grand Prix.

Friday
1st Practice 14:00 local time - 12:00 GMT
Sprint Qualifying 17:00 local time - 15:00 GMT

Saturday
Practice 13:00 local time - 11:00 GMT

Drivers and teams had a minutes silence prior to the session marking the passing of Queen Elizabeth 2. A fitting tribute considering 7 of the 10 teams are based in England and coverage is out of the UK.

Penalties

It looks like the grid will resemble something like what happened at Spa where grid penalties will jumble the qualifying results.
So far.
Lewis Hamilton - Rear of grid
Carlos Sainz - Rear of grid
Yuki Tsunoda - Rear of grid
Valtteri Bottas - 15 place grid penalty
Sergio Perez - 10 place grid penalty
Max Verstappen - 5 place grid penalty

Nyck De Vries will replace Alex Albon for the remainder of the weekend as the latter has been diagnosed with appendicitis.

Additional penalties
Esteban Ocon - 5 place grid penalty for an engine
Mick Schumacher - 15 place penalty for an engine and gearbox
Kevin Magnussen - 15 place penalty for an engine, turbo and MGU-H
