Re: The 2020 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Thread
This weekend sees the end of what is probably the most difficult Grand Prix season ever.
Round 1 in Australia was abandoned at the last moment due to COVID-19 and, through careful management, the powers that be managed to create a 17 race season. There has been some sensational racing at some not recently used circuits, drivers having to stand down due to the virus and a single moment that highlighted just how far we have come in the construction of our current generation race cars.
Lewis Hamilton again showed that he is the man of the moment in arguably the best car. His team mates have usually been forced to play second fiddle through either his consistency or their own bad luck.
Ferrari had a woeful season with the latest vehicle just not living up to expectations.
Red Bull were Red Bull. Very fast but is a space by themselves, occasionally picking up the odd win.
Biggest improvers would have to be Racing Point closely followed by Renault.
McLaren seemed to go forward as did AlphaTauri.
Williams narrowed the gap to the mid field while both Alpha Romeo and Haas had their moments.
I am looking forward to the 2021 season and expect the midfield battle to continue. The banning of the DAS system on the Mercedes may bring them back to the field and the McLaren's, with Mercedes power, are expected to again challenge for podiums.

Re: The 2020 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Thread
Lewis Hamilton has been cleared of COVID so he will again be piloting the Mercedes while George Russell will return to his regular seat at Williams.
Romain Grosjean is back in Switzerland so he will have a replacement driver, more than likely Pietro Fittipaldi.
