Hard to believe that the first A1GP race of the 06-07' season is what, about a month or so away. According to the A1GP site(here's the link in case anyone wants to look, www.a1gp.com/racing/index.php?flashNavId=2 ), the schedule presently looks as follows................

1 October 2006--Zandvoort, Netherlands
8 October 2006--Brno, Czech Republic
5 November 2006--Beijing, China(street circuit)*
26 November 2006--Sepang, Malaysia
16 December 2006--Dubai Autodrome, UAE
21 January 2007--Taupo, New Zealand
4 February 2007--Sydney, Australia(circuit tba)
25 February 2007--Durban, South Africa(street circuit)
11 or 18 March 2007--North or South America(venue tba)
25 March 2007--Mexico(venue tba)
8 April 2007--Sentul, Indonesia**
15 April 2007--Shanghai, China

*--venue tba

Interesting.......I thought that they had dropped the Netherlands round with the aim of cutting costs.....(If I am not mistaken, they made a loss of something like $2Bil in the first season)

The Durban round may have a new circuit layout aswell.....They may move it up further north, which creates a circuit that is a Heck of a lot faster, and a heck of a lot wider......Apparently the track was too close to residential areas for the noise levels....

By all accounts, T-K, it was a pretty interesting weekend. I mean, I don't think anyone knew who was driving for South Africa....until he puts the car P1 for the sprint race ahead of Mexico and France, then wins the sprint race. The feature was another story, though......started out dry, rained during the feature race, then dried out, catching a bunch of teams; any team that gambled and stayed on slicks finished at the front. It was an interesting race weekend, to be sure. 8)
