TEAMS FOR 2006

Post by Julian Mayo » Sun Feb 12, 2006 1:10 pm

The silly season is not yet over, the music has yet to stop, and there are still a couple of chairs to fill, and a couple of overfull teams.
But things are STARTING to fall into place.

Stone Bros.
R Ingall
J Coutney
M Ambrose (Marcus is still contracted, and may do enduros, time permitting)

Holden Racing team
Skaife
T Kelly

Tasman Motor Sport
Jason Richards
Andrew Jones

Ford Performance Racing
M Winterbottom
J Bright

Jack Daniels Racing (formerly Perkins-Castrol, Larry is still the BOSS)
S Richards
P Dumbrell

C Baird
D Besnard
NB. J Bergwanna is contracted to LMS

Team BOC
J Bowe
B Jones

Toll HSV Dealer Team
R Kelly
G Tander

DJR
S Johnson
W Davison
G. Seton (still officially contracted, but doesn't have a car)

Fujitsu Racing
W Luff
M White
And have just announced that Jose Fernandez will drive for them !

Gary rogers Motorsport
Dean Canto
TBC

Team Sirromet Wines
Alan Gurr
F Coulthard
P Morris (Paul has relocated to the Northern territory, and may content himself with Enduros )

Supercheap Aoto racing
C McConville
G Murphy

Toll Racing
A Tratt
TBC

Team Betta Electrical
J Whincup
C Lowndes
S Ellery (still contracted, no car)

Team Kiwi Racing
P Radisich
TBC

Please note that this is the list supplied by V8Supercars inc.
A couple of the entries/driver line-ups are dubious (eg., Toll)
But the main runners seem to be set in concrete.
Seton, Bargs, and Ellery are at this stage the big losers.
The dust will finally settle one day.[/b]

You could remove the sticky part of this thread and let it fall back to where it belongs.

Bargs is a happy go lucky, very quick driver. He has the rare distinction of stuffing one of the top level cars into the wall, and severly damaging it, during the warm up for the Bathurst 1000 some years ago. He has had a bit of difficulty getting a seat in one of the top 5 teams since. He is best described as a laughing Kaola Bear 8)
