James Courtney, after rolling his Ford at Hidden Valley.
........."it wasn't much as rollovers go....I would have driven it back to the pits, but it lacks traction upside down".

Will Power on Paul Tracy's seemingly improbable win at Cleveland Sunday..................."He hit everything.............then he hit the lottery."

Considering PT a--chrome horned two drivers(Graham Rahal and Bruno Junquiera) during the race, resulting in b--two new front wings and c--driving the last 45-50 laps on old tires, I'd say Power's quote fits PT's win..... :burnout: :drive:

Comparing two different types of racecars...................

Following this afternoon's IndyCar Series practice at Mid-Ohio, new Rahal-Letterman Racing driver Ryan Hunter-Reay was asked about how different it felt to drive an IndyCar compared to some of the other race cars he's competed in at Mid-Ohio............Hunter-Reay's response, "Last car I raced at Mid-Ohio was a Rolex Daytona Prototype, which feels in comparison to an IndyCar like a U-haul truck."

Watching the IndyCar race this afternoon, I thought it was surprising to hear many of the fans booing at the command to start engines......then it came to me; we're in Detroit, the Motor City, home to Big Iron and Big Honking American Cars(..   ) and I'm betting a lot of fans thought it was like throwing salt into a wound when the grand marshal of the race, who IIRC is a vice-president for American Honda, gave the following command.......................

"Ladies and gentlemen, start your Honda engines."

Considering just how bad Milka Duno's driving in her 6 or so IndyCar Series races has been this year(and if series officials are smart, those'll be her only IndyCar Series races... ), I thought ESPN's Scott Goodyear coined her horrid driving today right..........."Milka's driving so slow today she should have her own ZIP code."

This week it seems ChampCar decided to rush two good drivers, veteran Oriol Servia and rookie Ryan Dalziel to the curb for both Surfers Paradise and Mexico City(the prevailing theory is that the series needed 2 Mexican drivers, namely Mario Dominguez[in for Dalziel] and David Martinez[in for Servia], for the Mexico City race(contractual obligations IIRC......   ). While Servia's been quiet about it, Dalziel hasn't. When asked about being released from Pacific Coast Motorsports, he had this gem of a quote.........
All I can figure is that (either) Mario found a big sponsor or Champ Car needed two Mexican drivers for their contract so PCM whored me out for money.
Brillant move, ChampCar; it is any wonder y'all can't get better ratings than those from a test pattern?

Remember back in Mexico City last year what happened between Juan Pablo Montoya and Scott Pruett towards the of the NASCAR Busch race, when JPM spun his teammate out to win the race? Well, that might explain this gem of a quote from Ganassi Racing's Chip Ganassi following his team's third consecutive overall win at this past week's Rolex 24 at Daytona, where he had paired JPM and Scott together alongside Dario Franchitti and Memo Rojas................
I put Juan Pablo and Scott in the same car together so that they wouldn't be able to take each other out.

Earlier today, Forsythe/Pettit Racing closed its' doors, leaving veteran open-wheel pilot Paul Tracy out of a job for the time being. When asked about it by Speed's Robin Miller, PT replied,
I got a call from Neil (Micklewright, VP of Forsythe/Pettit) this morning and he said, 'I've got some bad news for you, Paul.' Neil said he'd been trying to get ahold of my manager but he was having a colonoscopy today. That's ironic 'cause that's what I feel like I got today.
