MORE RACES AT MOUNT PANORAMA

Post by Julian Mayo » Wed Oct 04, 2006 3:35 pm

There is a bill going before Parliament to repeal the "Mount Panorama Motor Racing Act 1989" which restricted the Mountain to 2 race meets per year, in an effort to protect residents who live on the circuit. If the Bill is successful there could be as many as 5 meetings per year on the Mountain

Give us the old 12hrs production car race again.

And the 24hr enduro.

And Julian's and Rah's Ute challenge.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

On the way. Should be a golden lab pup.

Might make it fair if we load both utes up with say 800kg's?

Bathurst City Council has come up with a plan to Supplement the annual V8Supercar Race at the Mountain.
It consists of a 25 Million dollar, 4:8 km track at the base of the mountain.
Incorporating some existing track, the extra 2:8 km loop would be built on Council owned land.
The Idea is to attract a round of Superbikes, while providing a kart track, and club track.
It will require substantial funding, according to Bathurst Council. 8)
