Re: What will happen to Michelin?
I said in another thread, I had a really horrible thought that Michelin would be banned and everyone will be forced to use Bridgestones.polo2028 wrote:What will happen to Michelin?
I don't want to speculate but if that happens I will stop watching F1
Oh and polo2028. Good to see another Montoya fan. It's been a tough first half

SEE YOU AT THE MOUNTAIN

And as I said earlier the teams get a two race ban, Schuey wins another title and Moseley retires a happy man
The Mountain is a savage Mistress.
I doubt there would be any penalty for any of the teams.
As,if i remember well, the rules state that one must stop racing & bring the car into the pits if the teams thinks its risky for the driver/spectator if the car is on the track.(correct me if i'm wrong)
Apart from the rule, with the beating FIA have got for almost no show in US,they would dare do such a thing

What about the minimum car rule???? Did not apply, obviously. The FIA seem to make up rules, and ignore them, at will

MAY! ! !Ed wrote:According to the Sporting Regs an event may be cancelled if there are less than 12 cars
17) An Event may be cancelled if fewer than 12 cars are available for it.
So the FIA ( and I wont say what that stands for in this household) had the option of calling it a non championship event, or any other bloody option

I'm suprised than the teams didnt protest for the classification of the race if this rule could be appliedEd wrote:According to the Sporting Regs an event may be cancelled if there are less than 12 cars

The rule could not have been applied, as the responsible manufacturer was known and you would have punished the BRIDGESTONE teams which had done nothing wrong.
The MICHELIN teams deliberately harmed the sport instead of racing accordingly under rev restriction and/or safety tyre changes which would have been accepted by the stewards.
It is a tragic and stupid thing that happened, unbelievable for intelligent professionals acting like this. Eventually they feared application of US law in case of accident???
